UIC-VA RECEIVES CUMMINS QUALITY RECOGNITION
August 28, 2007 - Columbus, Indiana Headquarters of Cummins Engine Corporation. UIC reprepsentatives Bill Atteberry, Executive Vice President, and Chris Bracey, Account Manager, attended Cummins Annual Suppliers Conference. A highlight of the evening for Bill and Chris was recognition of UIC's Virginia operations as one of Cummins top five quality performers. While UIC did not achieve first place (that honor went to Sensata Technologies - see presentation attached), we were in the company of very big companies.
How important is this to UIC? Cummins representatives provided attendees with information about the their world-wide growth plans over the next several years. While there is not enough room to provide details here, the numbers are impressive. As a valued supplier, UIC stands to grow substantially along with Cummins. So when you're thinking about the importance of the quality of a single part - think in terms of two- or three-times that in future sales!
